Can it be treated?

Yes. Chlamydia is very quick and simple to treat with a short course of antibiotics. The Health Advisor will discuss your treatment options when they give you your results.

You must NOT have sex (even with a condom) until your treatment has finished.

It is also very important that at least your current boyfriend or girlfriend (or the last person you had sex with) has a test as well.

Informing your partner(s) may be difficult. Our Health Advisors can offer help with informing your partner(s). This is important to reduce the spread of chlamydia and prevent re-infection.

We ask you about your previous sexual partners and may talk to you about getting them treated too.
